I would love to have some kind of bookmark-like functionality in Salesforce.com. The Recent items list just does not do this for me. I sometimes need to keep an eye on a couple of Cases, a Lead, or something I asked someone else to do through a task ... By the time I have done some work, they are all gone from my Recent items list and I need to find them one by one. This way, it is easy to forget something.

I know you could create a task for every single one, but if you are running dashboards, these clutter up the amounts, and thus, the real value of the dashboard itself.

A little button, such as an eye on top of every record, would be perfect. And, then a little eye somewhere on the Homepage that takes me to my Watchlist, any list style view would do.

Only Selected Contacts should be Synchronized with Outlook

Not all of my contacts could be synchronized with Outlook. Why? Two examples:

  1. Some of them are marked as "deactivated" (contact is dead or left the client, but has not be deleted since there is an important history)
  2. You do not want your Outlook crowded with too many contacts (or, your mobile phone, which you synchronize with Outlook, only support 500 contacts)

Import from Vcard/Outlook/Entourage

IMPORT VCARDS DIRECTLY INTO SALESFORCE.COM

My team just returned from a trade show and we quickly imported all of our Leads into our Outlook or Entourage email programs, using the business card reader software. Unfortunately, there is no way to easily import this info into SalesForce.com. Why wouldn't Saleforce automate the importing of Vcards or sell a business card scanner that pulls the data right into a Lead or Contact?

It takes SEVERAL HOURS to get all the data right in Salesforce.com, and basically equates to having to enter the data twice: once, for our desktop email clients, and then, for Salesforce,com. I would gladly pay for this capability. We had over 183 Leads between us, and all my team members complained about having to input all these data manually into Salesforce.com, after they had been easily imported into their desktop computer programs.

Modify Page Layout on Documents Tab

Printable View: Customize Printable Views

Printable views are not customizable.

The idea here is to be able to manage the content of the printable view through a dedicated button in the Object Page Layout.

It will be possible to:

  1. change the Salesforce.com Log, by Customer logo
  2. create sections, add and remove fields
  3. customize the related objects and columns

Custom Objects and Outlook

It would be nice if there was an ability to pull up custom objects (tabs) from Outlook, which are not parts of the offered standard set (Accounts, Leads, etc...). We have both main accounts and sub-accounts and track these very differently. Outlook does not allow us to integrate our emails with these sub-accounts (custom objects).
